This week, the ICE QUEEN ZINE published a little article on the classes I taught at To Bead True Blue, in Tucson. Just click on this photo to jump to it! And thanks for reading!

Bead and Button, June 6 – 10th, 2012; Milwaukee, Wisconsin: I will be co-teaching with Cheri Lenart:  The Travelling SeriesThe Journey Necklace; Mini Wearable Altar; Resin Architecture. Follow the link for dates and times!

Ruins, Relics and Resin, October 2-9th, 2012; Dufort, France: I will be joining Susan Lenart Kazmer and Jen Cushman on their Ruins, Relics and Resin Workshop series in Dufort, France (scroll down the page to view workshop). I will be teaching:

Plunging the Depths of Personal Imagery: as we gather in the mornings, in the fresh french air, we will be doing a little yoga, having a light breakfast, and learning about journaling. In this exchange each morning, I will lead the students in drawing out personal imagery from oneself to add to our journals. I expect we will be inspired by our surroundings, each other, and in finding our inner visions hidden away inside ourselves!

Sculpting Personal Icons: Sculpting is part of who I am. As I teach on basic figurative sculpting technique, I will lead students to open their eyes as we walk around the streets of France, take in the shape and forms of faces and sculpture, then pull from inside their own vision to sculpt this combination of visions.

To Bead True Blue, Tucson; January 29th – February 3rd, 2012:                                      I’ll be teaching workshops in creating wearable art with ICE Resin.  These include a 3 hour casting class: Resin Architecture; another 3 hour class called Mini Wearable Altar; some two hour classes called: Resin Alchemy, Heart’s Desire Pendant, and The Journey Necklace; and  lots of 1 hour introductory Resin Classes: Resin 101, Resin Basics and Intro to Bezels.

Oberlin College Winter Workshhop, Ohio; January 9th – January 20th, 2012:              I will be teaching the Oberlin College students every aspect of Encaustic Painting in this 50 hour workshop.

Encaustics and the Book-Arts, Oberlin College, Ohio; Sometime in the future:  I’ve been invited to lead a two day exploration in Nanette Yannuzzi-Macias’ class, Reimagining the Book, where we will incorporate Encaustics into the Art of Bookmaking.

Adorn Me!Texas;  Adorn Me actually got cancelled this year! Look next year for: Cryptic Encaustics and Word Shield. And for me to be co-teaching a two-day Workshop with Susan Lenart Kazmer on mixing figurative sculpture with Jewelry, called Building Figurative Jewelry.

Do you ever teach in northern California?

    • That would be very tempting!I would love to lead an encaustic group in California. Also, you are near Wax Works West, a fantastic Encaustic Workshop Goldmine!
